Makers, Products

It's no easy task to build a stocking list of exceptional items for a new store. It has taken us months to arrive at a curation of items that we are proud of. Sometimes we found products quickly, but typically it took a lot of digging and looking at samples before we arrived at a decision to carry a product.

Archival Clothing is one of the lone exceptions in our journey. As soon as we found them, we knew we discovered something special. Their products look great and are built to last. The aesthetic is spot on. But probably best of all is their outstanding customer service and their willingness to come alongside us for advice, help and general camaraderie.

Archival was founded with the goal of creating bags and apparel of the highest quality, made in the USA, and inspired by historical examples. All of their products are made to be simple, durable, and functional. The materials are chosen for their historical accuracy, aesthetic appeal, durability, ease of repair and minimal environmental impact.

One of our favorite Archival products is the Rucksack. It perfectly blends the feel of a rugged product design with the good looks of an everyday carry in town. Long before the invention of flyweight fabrics and ultralight backpacks, outdoorsy folk chose waxed canvas packs because they were durable, attractive, extremely waterproof and comfortable to carry. If you are looking for one bag model that will serve you for seasons to come, try the Archival Rucksack in waxed twill.

Archival was founded in 2009 in Eugene, Oregon. Visit Archival's website to learn more about this fantastic maker.
