Stria Ruler

The Stria Ruler is a collapsible, adjustable ruler that can rest neatly on your desk, or slip easily into your pocket or in your bag beside your notebook. It's CNC machined from solid brass, hand finished, and individually assembled. Immediately upon picking it up, you can tell this tool was not made the easy way—the craftsmanship is striking. 

The Stria features two arms that pivot around a friction-adjustable dovetail hinge, and it incorporates a rotary detent mechanism, so it snaps neatly into place at 45, 90, 135, and 180 degree angles as you open the arms. All of the numbers and notches are deep-etched, so they won't ever wear off, with one side featuring imperial measurements at 1/16" intervals, while the other side features metric at 0.5mm intervals.
