Part of this fabric is Re-Spun, meaning Marine Layer recycled it from old tee shirts. It naturally may have some slight discoloration and texture. (We think it adds character.)
Marine Layer is a San Francisco-based clothing brand founded in 2009 by Mike Natenshon. The brand was born from Natenshon’s desire to recreate his favorite vintage t-shirt that his girlfriend had thrown away. He teamed up with his friend Adam Lynch, a textile engineer, to develop a custom fabric blend of pima cotton and micromodal, a sustainable fiber made from recycled beechwood.
