This ultra soft fabric is a finely-textured, high-wale cord (21 wale to be specific). They even give it a special wash to help the fabric come out even softer.
Marine Layer is a San Francisco-based clothing brand founded in 2009 by Mike Natenshon. The brand was born from Natenshon’s desire to recreate his favorite vintage t-shirt that his girlfriend had thrown away. He teamed up with his friend Adam Lynch, a textile engineer, to develop a custom fabric blend of pima cotton and micromodal, a sustainable fiber made from recycled beechwood.
